KEEP IT BLUE,
a French NGO, works since four years on the legal aspect of oil spills and cooperates with
other European NGOs.
KEEP IT BLUE has undertaken an awareness campaign
concerning port reception facilities for ship-generated waste
to contribute to efforts to reduce unlawful discharges.

KEEP IT BLUE is directed by Jo Le Guen who rowed twice Atlantic Ocean.
First time from Cape Cod (U.S.A) to Brest (France) in 1995, 103 days,
to sensibilize people about rescue seamen.
Second time in 1997, from
Tenerife (Canarian Islands) to Barbados (West Indies), 49 days,
to sensibilize people about rehabilitation of former prisoners.
He tried to row across South Pacific Ocean from New-Zealand to Cape Horn in 2000
to sensibilize people about ocean pollution.
He had to stop after 60 days because of a problem of gangrena. He lost his toes.
